Beyond the Book: Black Campus Life
Join us and BMC faculty and staff in a discussion of Black Campus Life by Antar A. Tichavakunda this month. An in-depth ethnography of Black engineering students at a historically White institution, Black Campus Life examines the intersection of two crises, up close: the limited number of ±©·ç×ÊÔ´ graduates in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) fields, and the state of race relations in higher education. Tichavakunda takes readers across campus, from study groups to parties and beyond.
±©·ç×ÊÔ´ welcomes the full participation of all individuals in all aspects of campus life. Should you wish to request a disability-related accommodation for this event, please contact the event sponsor/coordinator. Requests should be made as early as possible.
