A comprehensive program for first-generation and limited-income students.
Breaking Barriers is led by the Associate Director of The Impact Center. The group provides mentorship, programming, support services, and resources to first-generation and limited-income students (FGLI).
Who We Support
FGLI Students
First-generation and limited-income students can find a community of peers and mentors who can provide guidance, support, and resources to help navigate the ±©·ç×ÊÔ´ experience.
How We Support
Joining the Community
Breaking Barriers Scholars may identify with one or more of the following experiences and are part of a larger community composed of peers, staff, and faculty at Bryn Mawr who share these experiences. All eligible incoming students are initially invited to the program; however, anyone may opt-in at any point throughout their time at Bryn Mawr.
To be eligible, students must identify with at least one of the following,
- First-Generation
- Limited-Income
